Looks like Trump's July 17th NC MAGAt rally won't suck any oxygen out of the Mueller testimony

He scheduled it almost immediately after the Mueller date was announced.

Looks like he'll have to schedule another for the following week.

I'm OK with pushing it out a week, because Trump has clearly been sweating over it, and I don't see the freshly-bounced Acosta dominating the news cycle by the time July 24 arrives. Epstein, probably...Acosta, not so much.

Whether it's another rally or a 'major announcement" on the White House lawn, I'm sure he'll cook something up.

The area around Greenville certainly has got the rain this week unc70 Jul 2019 #3
You are right! I didn't realize Pitt County was so liberal. It went for HRC by 7.5% over Trump mnhtnbb Jul 2019 #4

He wouldn't dare set foot in Raleigh or Charlotte or Durham or Asheville or even Winston-Salem or Greensboro or Wilmington. Too close to plenty of protesters.

With any luck there will be violent thunderstorms all afternoon and evening to rain on his "event". It's definitely the time of year for them down east.

Ten to fifteen inches yesterday in that area! Far more than most hurricanes. Greenville and ECU are fairly liberal, but the areas around them are quite red. But only about 70 minutes to Raleigh, 90 min to Chapel Hill. New roads at 70mph (or more) make things a lot closer.

So. Maybe there will be a turnout of protesters! We can hope!
