By Ben Armbruster
Today on CBSs morning show, former Bush administration Secretary of State and top Mitt Romney surrogate Condoleezza Rice could not offer any specific foreign policy failures made by President Obama. Romneys allies, led by Rice and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), are expected to attack Obama on national security grounds tonight in at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.
<...>
So despite the fact that the GOP plans to attack Obamas foreign policy, Rice has no interest in looking back. Instead, she said, she wants to look forward, yet she doesnt have any idea what Romneys international agenda is either. And on Syria, it turns out that the policy Romney has articulated thus far isnt much different from the Obama administrations.
But as far as attacking Obama on foreign policy grounds goes, the Republicans are going to have a tough time. Poll after poll shows that Americans favor Obama over Romney in handling international issues. And the Wall Street Journal noted today that their recent poll found 54% of voters approve of Mr. Obamas handling of foreign policy, his highest score in more than a year and far better than what either George W. Bush or Bill Clinton fetched as they sought re-election.

(24,445 posts)Things are far from fixed yet, especially in regards to the economy but on just about every front, things are better today than they were in 2008. It is disheartening, however, to think about how much BETTER things might be today if he had not had to spend so much time during the past 3-4 years dealing with Republican obstructionism plot and their absurd and unreasonable "Tea Party".

I'm pretty sure her job in the WH was to look Non-White and Non-Male in order to give the illusion that a bunch of ancient evil white guys headed by Dick Cheney were not making all of the policy decisions, so without him there prompting her, how could she analyze what's wrong with our policies?
Although I have to admit being surprised she didn't say anything about why we aren't invading Iran yet. That's the only thing I can see the Bush Admin being upset about at present.
