You guys could be headed for a really big one soon. If that is a new quake, something may be happening.

We're OK, thanks. We built our house and our architect was very aware of earthquakes and their hazards. He provided that the house have lots of bracing and sturdy materials to keep the place together in case of a large quake. So far, we've never had any damage.

I assumed you wouldn’t even notice it in a car unless it was really off the charts. What did it feel like?

how a car with problems might feel . a bit jerking and then swaying . actually the earthquake probably happened while i was still driving and it was only when i stopped that i felt it. so i couldn't feel it while driving . at least i didn't notice anything while i was driving.

i felt it after i stopped and first thought it was my car but after a while i thought it was an earthquake .

most of the earthquakes i have felt have been when i was still sleeping . northridge happened while i was sleeping and that's probably the strongest earthquake i felt .
