(269,219 posts)I'm not sure she is mature enough to handle the sustained pressure. She changed her coach because she was no longer having fun.
We'll see - time is on her side and she is talented but staying at the top takes attitude and character as well as game.

(575 posts)That CoCo played well beyond her years today. She played a tough competitor down to the wire and came out on top . She reminded me of a young Graf today. I really hope she can handle the stardom and hype that is headed her way, and can mature into her talents.

(29,723 posts)She seems wise beyond her years......upbringing is huge and I think this one is going to be around for a long time. I could not believe it was 5 - 2 in the second set, she comes back ties her, gets to the tie breaker, wins that, THEN WINS THE 3rd SET. Guts, grits, determination and she wins. Wow, just wow.

(8,419 posts)The body language was horrible, thought she was done after she threw her racket and didn't want to watch a 15 year old meltdown.
malaise
(269,219 posts)barely accepted a handshake - so rude.
I had to continue watching to see what she's made of - not for this year's Wimbledon but for her future.
Reaching week two is a major achievement at her age.

(31,261 posts)Hooefully her parents will get on her for that.
I know that if I had a kid and he or she threw anything out of anger, all would stop and the child would get talked to.
malaise
(269,219 posts)because no one says anything when the males do it. Personally I don't like it - period.
