Watching a program about the civil rights movement on H2.

I missed most of it, but they are talking about Cheney, Schwermer, and Goodman, the three civil rights workers murdered in Mississippi in the summer of 1964. At LBJ's behest, hundreds of FBI agents, soldiers and even Navy divers swarmed the area, looking for the bodies and seeking to identify suspects. They dragged rivers, searched wooded areas; etc. I'm sure most of us here are familiar with all this. But here's something you may not have heard before: One side effect of all this searching was that they found nearly a dozen other bodies of what were clearly lynching victims. Some were pulled from the water, others were found hanging from trees. I didn't know that. Now, after the bodies of the civil rights workers have been found, they're showing footage of one young African-American man, practically beside himself with grief and rage, shouting "Don't tell us not to be angry!"
