PHOTOS: Hurricane Isaac Makes Landfall And Is Pounding The Gulf Coast

Hurricane Isaac, already a massive storm spanning nearly 200 miles from its center with winds averaging 75-85 mph, was declared a Category 1 hurricane Tuesday as it made it's way inland on the Gulf coast.
Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center estimated that Isaac could cause storm surges of up to 12 feet along the coasts of southeast Louisiana and Mississippi and up to 6 feet as far away as the Florida Panhandle, according to AP.
