have brand new Sherman Tanks. WTF.

Sherman tanks helped break the back of the Nazis in the 1940s. Not been around since then. His first demand was probably for Panzers.

I hope there is video of them being trucked in from out of DC and staged. What a fiasco.

This could well be Trump's Dukakis tank moment.

in July 1945. And it was a lousy tank. Lightly armored and armed and gasoline powered. The Germans called them "Tommy Cookers," because the 75 mm and 88 mm guns of the Panzer IV and Tiger easily tore through the Sherman's light armor, and ignited the gasoline. Unless they could fire at the rear or underbelly of the German tanks, the 75 mm Sherman round usually bounced off.

But I guess the name stuck in the CinC's spongy brain.
