A Trump supporting ad aimed at the evils of universal health care

made me realize they’re starting their anti Democratic platform blitz attacks. We can now expect a constant negative advertising saturation that will be trashing Democratic issues for the next year and a half. They don’t even need to mention Trump’s name to undermine what the Democratic candidates are running on.

The anti universal health care ads are saying everyone will have to wait for weeks or months to see a doctor, just like “in Europe”. They’ll do the same thing with all the other issues.

It’s going to be brutal seeing and listening to those ads because repeating them for the next 16 months is going to convince neutral people that Democratic solutions will be bad.

Yeah, the majority was against the ACA back in 2011.

But now... "Well, you know, my daughter is between jobs, and her son got pneumonia last year, and she'd gotten the basic plan, and he could go to the hospital."

"It's not perfect, but my husband can get it even though he had cancer two years ago."

"Okay, you want to repeal it, but wait-- can I still be on my parents' insurance until I'm 26? If not, nah. I need that insurance."

Like almost everyone else on the planet, Americans actually sort of want universal health care.

And that it’s never an issue again after our next Democratic President. But until then it’s going to be discouraging, maddening, and really frustrating to be bombarded by the Republican war on Democrats.

The anti Medicare for all ads here in SW Ohio for a week now. I yelled at the TV in front of my parents saying "bullshit". They kept pushing wait times. Saying 4 weeks for an MRI appointment. I said hell it's already that long regardless.

And couldn't see the neurosurgeon until this past Monday and am getting it fixed tomorrow. That night i also had a seizure (which I've never had before), and couldn't see the neurologist until yesterday, and couldn't get an EEG appt until mid July, and my insurance (Aetna) is through my job, not the ACA, so that commercial is a load of bullshit, as you said!

We need to stay as calm as we can to fight them. It’s going to be very, very hard!

There should be a similar ad run by the Democrats but run it with the prices...

E.g.

Hip replacement with universal healthcare $300.00
Hip replacement under current system $25,000.00

Etc....

Dont know the actual costs but you get the idea.

The rest of us are out of luck. They're going to start with the horror stories about Canada that are untrue. It's really amazing that nearly everyone on Medicare loves Medicare, but somehow it's evil for the entire population.

I haven't been able to find the interview, but a member of the original Medicare crafting team said it was eventually supposed to be rolled out to the rest of the population.

What's being proposed now is comprehensive Medicare for All.
