I remember him soooo many times in 2015 and 2016 predicting that Trump would never win the nomination and then never ever win the election.

but, I've posted on here many times in the past - the candidate that has more charisma and is able to drive the news cycle wins the presidential election every single time

Reagan over Carter and Mondale
Bush over Dukakis
Clinton over Bush and then Dole
Bush over Gore and then Kerry
Obama over McCain and Romney
Trump over Clinton (while we may hate Trump, his base worships him and the media LOVES him)

I didn't watch the debate, but I do think some of the participants are charismatic. Can any of them capture the news cycle that is continually dominated by Trump?
