It started early in the morning with Rudy Giuliani. Morning Joe was still waking up. He made some wisecrack about Mueller not being able to "make up his mind".
Soon thereafter, there was Trump himself, coddling back up to FOX News, with Maria Bartoromo. She could barely get a question in sideways. Trump's wig was burning. He said Mueller had deleted emails from the lovers and it was illegal. Surely if there is one person that knows the law, it would be Donald Trump??
Rush took the torch hand-off and continued the attack upon Robert Mueller by claiming that it was an attack upon Donald Trump. Only recently has he taken the "Hot Lips" trophy from Sean Hannity. He said Democrats were happy that they found the body of the young father and his baby girl. He clarified to say that the Democrats were not happy they were dead but they were happy because it gave them more of a reason to attack Donald Trump?? WTH!
Now, we read that Rep. Mark Meadows has sent a warning to Robert Mueller, if he decides to show up for the hearing. He accused the life-long Republican of cozying up to the Democrats, and that they sent him a "friendly subpoena".
All in all, it appears that Mueller's announcement really got under their skin?
Me.
(35,454 posts)is a loser's proposition, but then it's Meadows we're talking about

(111,097 posts)Then, maybe everyone will get the truth from him?
Me.
(35,454 posts)the report is the truth and even if he doesn't do more than repeat it, the truth will be told

(111,097 posts)And the report is the closest we have to the truth.

(9,090 posts)started around the womens march for inauguration - limbaugh saying obama, clinton, soros were heading the coup, paying protestors, etc
now it will get a lot worse. limbaugh knows how to aim death threats at family members with while being 'subtle'
americans are foolish to keep ignoring the problem. dems could do a lot of damage to the GOP if they start associating trump and limbaugh (they're friends and neighbors and about everything trump does started on talk radio) and mueler needs to be asked if one of those investigations is about talk radio - and why was sean hannity's name redacted from the glossary?

(11,296 posts)On him or his report. Mueller brought the DOJ procedure manual to a knife fight and the Republicans brought bazookas.

(8,923 posts)He just wants to deliver his report and sail into the sunset. What motivation has he shown that he should he care about Meadows' partisan grandstanding?

(15,258 posts)The non-paid-for, sentient, open-minded public can understand the propaganda and hate spews and see the repuglicons and the dump for what they are.
That is if the public really cares. This is the point that scares me. Maybe nobody cares except us.

(9,426 posts)I honestly thought Mueller had enough integrity to expose the lying imposter in the WH. Now, I think he is only trying to keep his cushy job. What happened to the honorable man he once was? He is close to retirement, what would he have to lose by being HONEST about tRump? I have lost respect for Mueller. Sorry, people are judged by their actions. He has enough dirt on tRump and all his associates to bring him down. Why doesn't he, for the sake of this country?

He really needs to come clean about what REALLY happened but I will not be holding my breath

(9,426 posts)An 11 year old just hacked the voting machines in Florida. He was able to change the results. The gop owns most of these machines, and are in Russia's pockets (literally) so maybe tRump is right to be so confident about being "president for life". Too bad the gop did not choose a more intelligent person as their "supreme leader". tRump makes them look as stupid as he is, and even the Ayatollah sees that.

(23,102 posts)He's shown us that he is a partisan before he is an American. He does not want to say what he has put in writing and especially doesn't want to address everything he didn't touch that was relevant & illegal in Russian/drumpf hacking conspiracy because then it's much more clear that he put th wishes of the RW Russian Repug AG and Assistant AG above the law.

(4,035 posts)We all saw how passive the initial interview went. I wouldnt get too excited by the next. I doubt if Muellers going to hang Trump out to dry. I want to see the unredacted report, less critical redactions of course. I want to know if, in fact, Barr shut down ten investigations after the report was released, and which investigations were they? Mueller, of course, stated that he will not comment on any topic unrelated to his investigation. When it gets down to it, hes still is Republican by choice.

(111,097 posts)My hope is that he will tell everything he knows, even some of his opinions, outside the Mueller report.
He is standing in some very cruel shoes. They are ready to attack him if he strays too far. No doubt, he has weighed this very carefully. Is he a patriot or is he a gopher for Donald Trump, whom he knows to be a criminal?

(45,002 posts)Trump said Mueller exonerated him.
Now he attacks him for testifying... about the supposed same conclusions?
Yeah right, Dim Donny. You are so fucking guilty it stinks.

(53,778 posts)Guess they actually thought Barr's lies about the report would become the spin the nation would believe.
Idiots. Lies that big will never stand forever.
kentuck
(111,097 posts)After all, he has already told everyone that he was totally exonerated. There was "no collusion", "no obstruction", "no nothing".
So, why in the hell are you attacking Mueller if he is only going to talk about what is in the report? Why is he so worried?
Does he believe that his Atty-General will be exposed for making a false presentation of the report?
If it exonerates him, a reasonable person would welcome the report, and put it all behind him.
But, there must be something he doesn't want people to know?

(56,828 posts)made the Republicans look like fools when he testified in public. They spent their entire time attacking Cohen and not defending Donny Dollhands and Cohen still came across as credible and honest. Only Justin Amash had legitimate questions among Republicans.
Cohen is a lightweight compared to Mueller - Cohen graduated from what was called the worst law school in the country. Mueller got his JD from the University of Virginia, a top flight law school. Mueller has gravitas. Even if he just reads off excerpts from his report, it will have an impact.
