The "Ugly American" has never been uglier.

With many of our allies and former allies, America has descended to the similar depths as North Korea, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, and other dictatorships around the world.

The "Ugly American" is no longer a leader in human rights around the world. They see the humanitarian crisis on our border much differently than most Americans do. They suspect the Trump White House was involved in the murder of Adnan Khasoggi, the journalist murdered by Saudi assassins. They see an America closer to Vladimir Putin and the criminal oligarchs than to our allies of the last 75 years.

If America does nothing about those now leading our country, the "ugly American" will be the standard we will carry into the future, after Trump and his criminal cabal are gone.

The damage has been done.

Seriously.

He has complete control of the Executive Branch, including the DOJ. Also, he has control of the US Senate and has been appointing right-wing judges at a frenetic pace. He believes he has control of the Supreme Court. He appoints "acting" heads of Departments as if it was just another episode of Apprentice.

The only part of government that he does not control at present is the House of Representatives. However, they are frozen with indecision. They are not the challenge to the Executive that they should be. They are fearful of even talking about impeachment. They are passing nothing thru the Senate. If he doesn't control the House, he has at the very least, made them totally unworkable and useless in their present form.

So is he a "wannabe"? Or has he already reached his goal?

The fiasco in Oregon where a lawmaker invites his followers to come heavily armed if the state makes him vote..............just the beginning. Inviting his peeps to kill state police. It is time to end this shit now. A citizen would immediately be in jail if we made this treat to a lawmaker.

His supporters believe him over the "fake news" and are convinced he is a victim of the "libs" attacks.

It creates an impossible political situation, where there is never any resolution. We see it everyday.

all it's constitutional responsibility for their own personal riches. The problem, is greed has taken control of a chamber of Congress, and without that check and balance our President has too much power.

I'm sick of hearing that the Senate won't convict. If the house impeaches, the American people AND the world will see that 1/2 the country is appalled and willing to stand up for principles.

Our inaction is looking like complicity.

"Ugly American" is a term used to refer to perceptions of loud, arrogant, demeaning, thoughtless, ignorant, and ethnocentric behavior of American citizens mainly abroad, but also at home. Although the term is usually associated with or applied to travelers and tourists, it also applies to U.S. corporate businesses in the international arena.

The best-selling, loosely fictional account provided contrasting characters with different approaches to opposing Communist influence in Southeast Asia, and the use of foreign aid in particular. The majority of the Americans exhibit a range of blundering, corrupt, and incompetent behaviors, often concentrating on impractical projects that will serve more to benefit American contractors than the local population. A minority are effective because they employ knowledge of the local language and culture, but most of these are marginalized and some even considered suspect.

A study carried out in 2002 revealed that Hollywood also contributes to the "Ugly American" image. The study found that the more access other countries had to American programs, the higher their negative attitudes toward Americans tended to be.[49]

The movie Sex and the City 2 has been quoted as a typical portrayal of the "ugly American" image, where Samantha, one of four best girlfriends, makes fun of Middle Eastern culture and women in traditional dress.[50]
