Climate Service Specialist in the Met Office, Glenroy Brown says on Saturday, Jamaica registered the highest temperatures ever recorded in Kingston.

The record high temperatures were equivalent to just over 39.1 °C or 102 °F.

Mr. Brown says the recent temperature increases in the country are frightening. He says despite last year being the fourth hottest year on record, temperatures are projected to exceed those this year.

Temperatures are rising and it’s likely we’ve not seen the worst of them just yet.

Climate Service Specialist at the Met Service, Glenroy Brown says the heat is on.

and us, from the west coast to the east coast, esp. southern states..meaning SW states as well as SE states.

And somewhere in the Atlantic, a perfect storm will be born this season.
