2. Good question. Impeachable offenses ought to include torturing, racism, incompetence,

violating oath of office, destroying foreign relations, dereliction of duty, unbecoming conduct, and the like.

While working with Ruskies to undermine election and obstruction ought to be enough, these other issues are probably a bigger deal.

And another reason they'll lose the Senate and the Presidency in 2020. The American people have seen enough , and are fed up with these corrupt criminals and liars. Child abuse IS child abuse no matter how trump and the gop want to spin it as the fault of the Democrats when its trumps policies, and they enable this to continue by doing nothing to stop him. trump like to be cruel, and hurt people. This is what evil looks like treating children like this.

4. We must prosecute those involved

Even if we stop these abuses the damage has been done.

There will be more migration crises around the world driven by climate change and conflict. Right wing racist groups are gaining power.

We have set a dismal standard for others to point at to say what is acceptable.

We have to prosecute those involved if only to repudiate that excuse. I agree that we should prosecute for our own sakes domestically.

5. "W and Cheney were never held accountable for their torture and crimes against humanity."

This was a big mistake. It helped get us where we are today.

It is extremely important that people who commit crimes be caught and suffer consequences.

6. They are definitely crimes against humanity.

I would love to see the UN issue an indictment against Trump and Miller for their deliberate, systematic abuse of migrants, especially children.

“Crimes against humanity are certain acts that are deliberately committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against any civilian or an identifiable part of a civilian population. The first prosecution for crimes against humanity took place at the Nuremberg trials. Crimes against humanity have since been prosecuted by other international courts (for example, the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, and the International Criminal Court) as well as in domestic prosecutions. The law of crimes against humanity has primarily developed through the evolution of customary international law. Crimes against humanity are not codified in an international convention, although there is currently an international effort to establish such a treaty, led by the Crimes Against Humanity Initiative.”

Unjust imprisonment, torture, rape, racial discrimination, and other human rights abuses may reach the threshold of crimes against humanity if they are part of a widespread or systematic practice, which is exactly what Trump and his administration have been doing for the past year or so.

7. I'm beginning to believe impeachment isn't going to happen.

It’s not Pelosi’s fault, she just doesn’t have the votes. I think only 72 House Dems are on board to open an impeachment inquiry. The worst case scenario is for Pelosi to have an impeachment vote fail in the House.

Nevertheless, people need to keep calling and writing their representatives, urging them to hold Trump accountable for his high crimes and misdemeanors.

10. If an impeachment vote were to fail in the House, would we be allowed to blame the guilty?

But from what I see, the 72 are raising their voice DESPITE opposition for impeachment from Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, others who are more senior "moderates". The majority of voting Democrats want them to start impeachment now. And I think most D reps are chomping at the bit to be able to announce to their constituents that, finally, Donald Trump will face some justice. Pelosli is allowing some, especially primary candidates a little red meat to throw out there. But for most, they know they don't have permission to publicly demand it. Its called party discipline. If Pelosi gives the nod, you'd see most all of them come out for it.

I think those senior Democrats are afraid of impeachment. Afraid of Fox News. Afraid of the deplorables. They are convinced that Democrats will lose the PR battle in the aftermath. No matter what is found out. That or the risk to them is greater than the risk of simply grinding onward, and hoping that America has developed enough of a "Trump fatigue" by then, and will be impressed by Democrats patience and restraint dealing with this criminal cretin. That looking weak, is better than looking overly aggressive.

I disagree with that, I think the risk is greater if Democrats don't impeach.
