Hungry, freezing, sick kids covered in snot, tears and shit. Where is the Pro-Life movement?

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/21/us/migrant-children-border-soap.html

Children as young as 7 and 8, many of them wearing clothes caked with snot and tears, are caring for infants they’ve just met, the lawyers said. Toddlers without diapers are relieving themselves in their pants. Teenage mothers are wearing clothes stained with breast milk.

Most of the young detainees have not been able to shower or wash their clothes since they arrived at the facility, those who visited said. They have no access to toothbrushes, toothpaste or soap.

“There is a stench,” said Elora Mukherjee, director of the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic at Columbia Law School, one of the lawyers who visited the facility. “The overwhelming majority of children have not bathed since they crossed the border.”

...

The reports of unsafe and unsanitary conditions at Clint and elsewhere came days after government lawyers in court argued that they should not have to provide soap or toothbrushes to children under the legal settlement that gave Ms. Mukherjee and her colleagues access to the facility in Clint.

...

She said the conditions in Clint were the worst she had seen in any facility in her 12-year career. “So many children are sick, they have the flu, and they’re not being properly treated,” she said. The Associated Press, which first reported on conditions at the facility earlier this week, found that it was housing three infants, all with teen mothers, along with a 1-year-old, two 2-year-olds and a 3-year-old. It said there were dozens more children under the age of 12.

Ms. Mukherjee said children were being overseen by guards for Customs and Border Protection, which declined to comment for this story. She and her colleagues observed the guards wearing full uniforms — including weapons — as well as face masks to protect themselves from the unsanitary conditions.

...

The children told the lawyers they were given the same meals every day — instant oats for breakfast, instant noodles for lunch, a frozen burrito for dinner, along with a few cookies and juice packets — which many said was not enough. “Nearly every child I spoke with said that they were hungry,” Ms. Mukherjee said.

...

“Are you arguing seriously that you do not read the agreement as requiring you to do anything other than what I just described: cold all night long, lights on all night long, sleeping on concrete and you’ve got an aluminum foil blanket?” Judge William Fletcher asked Ms. Fabian. “I find that inconceivable that the government would say that is safe and sanitary.”

- snot
- tears
- shit
- dirt
- sickness
- malnutrition
- sleeping on concrete-floor

It's so bad that the guards are wearing face-masks.

Where is the Pro-Life Movement to protect the sanctity of life?

What happened to "Compassionate Conservatism"? You know, George W. Bush's rebranding of the GOP. Where are these Compassionate Conservatives?

In more important news, AOC dared to use the word "concentration camp".

Put their kids in the facility for 3 days, see if they still think their daddy is deserving of a second term. Have them visit themselves, assess the situation. Their visits will be free to them, since taxpayers are paying all their expenses. Imagine how worried the parents of these children must be, reading these reports. tRump has brought the USA to its knees in such a short time, it is disgusting. Meanwhile, all the gop can do is cheer their orange ass on to war in the ME. AGAIN.

It's nothing more than facicist conglomerate of Republicans, Christian groups, conservatives, militias, corporate sponsors and wealthy rightwing activists. All these people are actively engaged to fundraising efforts to enrich themselves and exploit threir ignorant and impressionable followers.

Do they actually do anything to help women prevent unwanted pregnancies? Yeah, like a sure... sorry that was a joke.

How about any of these so called Pro-Life Movement aficionados spending money on supporting real women and their actual living childred? Absolutely not, there's no money in that.

Do the Pro-Life Movement fans want to pass bills to educate young people on how not to make babies, or provide free BCP to all to avoid abortions? Seriously, um... No, because that would dry up their lucrative revenue streams.

Can you imagine local authorities visiting a home where children were treated like this? They would be taken from their parents immediately!

Yet we - as a nation - are treating hundreds of children like this with no end in sight! And it is probably worse than we know (rapes? assaults? medications taken away from diabetics and epileptics?) and getting worse (could this really go so far as a death camp? I really would put nothing past Trump - nothing at all).

in 2014 the rw radio was heavily working and using ebola scare in those elections and they're going to use it again probably with russian help and dem leadership need to get on top of it

I guess we have to put up a fake abortion client in front of these concentration camps and then just possibly, they might go and protest constantly as they did with the one sole MO abortion provider that is possibly closing forever, in MO.

They are all for mistreating children and killing animals or other people if they see a purpose in it. They are "pro-life" like they are "pro-molybdenum," i.e., it's just a convenient, meaningless label.

any reference to impeachment from the Constitution.

It simply can't be used, and it never seems to apply - except for blowjobs, of course (duh!). Truth be told, I like exceptionally dry powder - always have. Never have I seen a powder too dry for my taste. Inaction is the best policy I always say.

Nope, impeachment is right off the table. I like to just keep going down the same, disgusting, immoral, criminal and insane path as we are on right now. Hope it lasts forever, because there is nothing I, or any Democrat, can do - short of a few strongly worded letters, that is. Sit back, have a rest, and watch the non-show. It should be really fun to see just how much the orange shit gibbon can get away with.

then Social Services would be on the case. The kids would probably be in foster care by now. I think that it invites legal comparison: if the government already recognizes a standard of care for children such that they vigorously enforce it, how can they justify, in court, practices that are below their own standard?
