Fact check: Trump makes three false claims about Hispanics in Telemundo interview


Washington (CNN) — President Donald Trump made a series of false statements in an interview that aired Thursday on Spanish-language network Telemundo.
Most notably, Trump repeatedly claimed that he had "inherited" an Obama-era policy of separating migrant children from their parents. In fact, he instituted the policy.

of lying -- I saw an excerpt of the interview and he was unflappable in his lying and talked over the interviewer like an autocorrect automaton while doing that motion with his arms and hands coming together and apart with the cadence of his speech. There was no opportunity or space in the exchange for the interviewer to get a word in edgewise to successfully correct him.
