Especially since the object of desire may be gone when a new Senate is amenable to conviction.

(1,480 posts)Impeachment opens more doors to investigation, will be more highly publicized, and will put the Republicans on notice that we are serious. I've been pushing for impeachment right from the beginning. I wrote to my Republican congresswoman asking her to change her stance.
I try to be consistent.
Must. Keep. Dry.
Passing bills knowing that they will never see the light of day keeps it dry.
Trying to rein in the toddler in the white house, apparently gets it wet in some way.

It's really not that complicated. There's more to governing than considering/pursuing impeachment.

Well, legislation is getting stopped at the Senate also.
