Broken: Report from Reporter in Corner of Situation Room

Washington - This Morning

Our timid, incognito reporter finally got through to us this morning, with a shocking report. While observing Donald Trump and his cohort in the situation room, yesterday evening, Mus Musculus, our embedded reporter in the White House reports that the red phone rang just before the attack on Iran was about to begin. The one-sided transcript of the call, as reported by Mr. Musculus, went like this:

"Hello. This is Donald."
...pause...
"Yes, I see..."
(At this point, Mus reports that President Trump's face turned a whiter shade of pale, and there was a longer pause.)
"No. I'm sorry. I mean...Yes. It won't happen again, I promise."
...pause...
"I understand. You won't need to release that video. No."
...pause...
"Yes. I'll call first next time. I promise."
...pause...
"Yes. My bad."

With that the phone was cradled and Trump was heard to say, in a panicky voice:

"Stop it! Can you stop it? We have to stop it!"

People apparently scrambled to pull the plug on the operation, and President Trump reportedly retired to his bedroom in silence.

This is wonderful satire/parody but also quite close to what could be called the truth..LOL. n/t monmouth4 Jun 2019 #1
What is true and what is satire can be difficult to discern. MineralMan Jun 2019 #2

With the Trump administration, it has become even more difficult, since it is a satire in itself. Surely, we don't actually have Donald J. Trump as President, right? We're all going to wake up soon and watch President Hillary Clinton speak on the morning news, right?
