Why doesn't someone like Netflix televise mock impeachment hearings?

Outline the evidence uncovered by Mueller, the testimony gathered thus far, etc. Gather expert witnesses. Do what the Congress will not do and that is to investigate this criminal president and his administration.
Invite former politicians to be part of the event. Appoint a "grand jury" to hear the evidence.

If they can spend weeks broadcasting "Big Brother" episodes, they can do something like this. Shame the nation's leaders into action.

Put their words into actors' mouths and see what they sound like as they lie and refuse to answer questions.

I would watch this speculative docudrama.

Guess that's what is wrong with America. I give up. I have called Congress all morning. They are responsible for the actions of the madman in the White House. They have abrogated their responsibility. It is time for Americans to come forward in massive numbers. I am just one insignificant voice. I can only do so much.

As for not watching. I am sure there are ways to increase ratings for such an endeavor. Get Obama to be interviewed. The whole past administration. Instead of getting in those circle jerk debates on CNN, let the journalists, ex-politicians, celebrities draw in the viewers for mock impeachment hearings.

I'd tune in to hear Dan Rather's commentary. Or Michael Moore. Or Comey, Brennan, Clapper. Even may be a guest appearance by Hillary Clinton. Would you watch that?

We need to act, not just sit passively waiting for the next airstrike to take us by surprise. Let a jury of citizens decide whether the president is guilty.

Bet he'd be on a raging tweetstorm too.

Dumb idea? Maybe. But it's an idea anyway.

The average voter DOESN'T watch political programs; they don't watch political cable news (even Fox). They don't think Impeachment (even if entertaining) is the driving issue in their lives. And they didn't elect Democrats to the House to spend time on it.

People don't show up or clam up? Or needed documents don't show up.

It would make the Dems look more ridiculous for not doing it for real.

You could have dramatic reenactments with the segments explained in clear language by someone like Tom Hanks (everyone likes him).

It should be very clear what is happening with nothing to blur the lines between fact and fiction.

War of The Worlds taught us a useful lesson we should not abandon - even though we have lowered our standards for entertainment to a genre of staged "reality."
