The judges practically told her to use her common sense.

(10,252 posts)for children, I would resign and make a big stink on my way out the door. There is such a thing as "right livlihood," which is part of the Buddhist 8-fold path of virtuous behavior. "Right speech" is also part of the 8-fold path. Right livlihood means, among other things, not employed in work that is harmful to others. And right speech means not lying, not speaking harshly, no divisive language, and certainly not voicing spurious bullshit arguments in a court of law. Arguments meant to deprive children of decent humane treatment.
Pigs for slaughter are treated better than these children are being treated. I do not understand how any person could tolerate acting with such cruelty and indifference.

(10,252 posts)That my country would engage in such behavior fills me with shame. Perhaps appearing tough is the motive, but to me it's more about being unwilling to spend any money on people deemed as less than human.

(15,805 posts)Who treats little kids like they're animal? Some failed, war torn third world country, a brutal Banana Republic, maybe a remote gulag run by a sadistic camp commandant, oh... and Trump's Baby Jails inside his tent city concentration camps.
Trump still thinks people love him.

I find them to support evil, I hope they prove me wrong and more of them wake the hell up.

(3,836 posts)The so-called "Justice Department's" argument for the right to treat these children with a total and complete lack of humanity is disgusting and un-American. In fact, it is surprising that the children are still being fed At. All. Since holding these innocents in concentration camps is such an obvious obscenity, and will no doubt lead to world-wide condemnation, something decisive will have to be done to make sure the narrative changes for the "good of all".
I am just wondering who, in the trumpkin faux-administration, will take credit for proposing the final solution?
