TAMPA, Fla. — Nebraska Republican Deb Fischer used her moment on stage here to accuse President Obama of driving the nation off a “fiscal cliff.”
Fischer was among several Republican U.S. Senate candidates Tuesday who were given two to three minutes to address delegates at the Republican National Convention.
She spoke in the afternoon, when the crowd’s energy level at the Tampa Bay Times Forum was extremely low, and many delegates were more interested in chatting than listening.
Still, the Nebraskans gave her a rousing reception, shouting when she took the stage.
