As WW3 is brewing, I feel so much better with a low IQ "reality" TV star at the helm

Way to go, countrymen! You’ve been conned by the most blatant con jobs, the “Mexico will pay for the wall” con and the “I’m a fraudster fake-billionaire and I’m here to HELP you” and the”Russia are you listening? No collusion! guy”.

Putting your social security, clean environment, healthcare safety net, worker protections, and country’s reputation in the hands of this illiterate supremely selfish vulgarian was just super-swift. We laugh, knowing all that you have thrown away, what else can we do? Keep giving your money to those three families that have as much wealth as the bottom half of the country, and don’t worry your little heads over complicated nuanced hard thinking. You’ll be known as some of the most gullible rubes and dupes of history. And the most uncaring, too — refugee children are being punished for being alive, and somebody has eaten your heart for breakfast.

But now this ugly movie takes an even darker turn. Remember the Saudi Orbs, pals — did you catch that photo of your guy dancing with the Saudis? Remember that Netanyahu had sleepovers at Boy Jared’s home? World order isn’t permanent. We may live in interesting times. As if the background movie of climate change and arctic sea routes and mass extinctions wasn’t enough.

For myself, I never liked horror movies, but my life is winding down. It’s a pity for the innocent ones.

Cheers, friends.

I think it was Winston Churchill who said that the US can be counted on to do the right thing -- after they've tried everything else.

Looks like he's a smart guy. Although he's a rookie here.

My first reaction when he was elected was "He's going to kill us all".

Overly dramatic perhaps but I still feel sick to my stomach every time he utters that he, putain and Kim have a plan for nuclear disarmament.

I really need to get my passport re-issued if I'm going to take my family to see out our days on our beach.

I still have the same reaction, every single day, because he's an idiot lunatic who doesn't know what the fuck he's doing, and the people he's hired to "handle" things don't know, either.

Like, what do you do when you're in the back passenger seat of a car that your drunk driver has headed off a cliff, and all the other people in the front seat are laughing their asses off and thinking it's great?

Our candidates are attacking each other over misstatements and intent and associations and purity tests (real or imagined) and seem to all agree that Trump needs to go, but they spend minimal time on the wider picture...

The GLOBE is on fire. Literally, figuratively, metaphorically...

The old order that kept the peace from 1945 through 2016 (roughly 70 years) is actively dying or being euthanized (as is the case with Trump and Brexit).

The climate is changing at rates far exceeding the most pessimistic "estimates" that were allowed to be published over the last 25 years. We were deceived on the seriousness of the issue and we are going to pay full fare on this as a result...mitigation and avoiding massive disruption and chaos left town in 1990, we are looking the wrong way while a vicious upper-cut is on its way to humanity's jaw already...

Water shortages are EVERYWHERE. Crops cannot be planted because of flooding in other areas. The situation is dire and people are suffering and soon to be dying in horrific numbers.

Politics is broken across the world. It seems that liberal democracy has torn itself into competing teams and gone utterly binary with no hope of compromise or cross-over ideas or philosophies. Its happening everywhere, not just the USA under Trumpinoma (cancer of the body politic).

We need to be building coalitions and alliances, instead we are building ill-will and walls and hate.
We need to be rallying around our elections and protecting the vote, instead we have 50% of the nation denying anything happened before or is still happening now.
We need to be redeveloping energy use and distribution and redefining travel and "norms"...instead we are seeing policies rolled back to dangerous levels for 50 years ago!!!

Hope is dead.
The oceans are dying.
The planet is terminal for supporting life forms larger than a rodent.

Welcome to our doom.
But let's make sure Corey Booker and Joe Biden suck up the days media attention in a spat over poor word choices and ideological purity. THAT will be a surefire way to spur us to solutions...

It’s been decided that would be too expensive.

Two friends recently lost their jobs. Downsizing, restructuring, changes in the business focus. One of them had an ordinary job for far less money, with very poor benefits. Fortunately, that one has been hired by a prime company and a strategic position instead, so, she made it onto Elysium where everything will be wonderful.

I think our new economy will be 50% desperation 40% gig jobs with no benefits and no security, 8% Elysium, and 2% of people in the palace Sucking up to a handful of overlords..
