General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsGood news for some of you. I just notified one of our hosts I will no longer post.
I will continue to visit DU to stay up to date on current events. I wish everyone here the best and I hope we get through this nightmare called Trump without anyone getting hurt. Good luck to all of you.

(42,759 posts)If you are being alerted on or if the replies you get are negative,
that could possibly be an indication you are doing some good.
None of your posts stand out in my mind, so carry on.

(45,105 posts)the correct forum. I don't always agree but I read your posts. Keep posting.

(6,377 posts)Looking at his profile, hes had 4 posts hidden recently, so hes only 1 away from being banned. Im guessing hes doing this because hed rather be able to read DU and just not post, than have one more post hidden, get flagged for review and never be able to post again.

Per the decisions and instructions of the DU Admins, all OP's regarding Democratic candidates for the Party's nomination for President are to be posted in the Democratic Primaries Forum. Please post your OP there. Thanks

(101,321 posts)and as such, it should be in the Democratic Primaries forum. It's been clear for some time that threads that are significantly about candidates will get locked elsewhere.

(67,782 posts)...belongs in the Democratic Primaries forum.
Right after that was created, I posted something about a bill that a candidate introduced, totally divorced from his candidacy, and it was locked. I wasn't totally happy, but I'm still here.

(102,289 posts)I can only advise finding a way to release it (like crushing coke or beer cans or if you don't have neighbors, smashing something against your trash cans, hitting a punching bag with the face of the "day's target" on it)... Venting in that way first and then posting, might be a good strategy...

(14,004 posts)They call me far left was a great post. It got many recommendations which show that DUers do value your input. Its ok to be passionate, this is the place to vent, even if some of us disagree.

(22,130 posts)course I wish you won't leave (you'll still keep in contact) but perhaps you have other duties that are keeping you busy. Pls. stay in contact, continue to speak out, and give us your energy to stay focused on the goals (main one is showing the exit doors to rump and cronies out of the WH). Take care.

(67,782 posts)The Hosts reviewed it, determined it was in the wrong forum, i.e., "off-topic", and locked it. A clear explanation of their action was provided along with a suggested remedy:

(146,317 posts)When that happens, you can simply take the host's advice and post it in the correct forum. It has happened to me on several occasions. It's easy to mistakenly post in the wrong forum. Just shrug it off and repost it in the right place. No reason to feel hurt.
CTyankee
(63,912 posts)problem for a DUer wanting to do the right thing, but posting in a forum adjudged wrong. But so what? It was for mistakenly using the wrong forum, not for being rude or disruptive. I didn't take it personally. My exchange with the host was amicable and I haven't thought of it since, until now.
My advice is to contact the host and discuss it further.
MineralMan
(146,317 posts)self-delete them and post again in the right place. A locked thread isn't something awful. It's just telling you that you put it in the wrong place. Nobody should take offense from that, I think.

(3,544 posts)To much infighting and trying to downgrade certain nominees. We're adults not children, we need to act like it. Sorry, if someone needs to alert on this please feel free to do so. I won't be offened, just had to say what I felt.

I'm a Democrat for entirely practical reasons. The Republican Party needs to die.

(16,318 posts)Lower your expectations. Then when you get a bad hide or a lock or a failed alert it's easier to forget about it. I opted out of the jury system for the same reason. If the owners don't care if someone uses some shitty site for an OP then why should I.

(10 posts)and I have no idea what you posted, but I defend to the death your right to post it! As long as it is civil at least. We are diverse people. We don't all agree an every facet and nuance, but that's how we learn and even get to know our own selves better. But that won't happen if you're not part of the conversation. Well, best regards in any case!
