Like some overgrown character from West Side Story come to life - and to broadcasting - bullyboy Sean Hannity announced on the air he wants to meet CNNs Jim Acosta privately in a mutually agreeable schoolyard, alone.
Acosta has a new book out, called, The Enemy of the People: A Dangerous Time to Tell the Truth in America. Apparently, Acosta wants to go on both Sean Hannitys and Tucker Carlsons show as part of his book tour but also because the two loudmouths have made disgusting attacks on him. For example, Carlson laughed heartily when his guest suggested an immigrant do one of the jobs that Americans wont do and drag Jim Acosta out of [the White House briefing room] and kick him to the sidewalk. Hannity gave his explicit approval to a mobs frightening harassment of Acosta at a Trump rally.
And lets not forget that Bill OReilly once joked about how much hed love to strangle Acosta.
Yesterday, Acosta ripped the two hate mongers:
The likes of Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson, theyre willing to go off on me on their shows, but theyre not willing to have me on in person to defend myself, Acosta said. Whats with that? If youre so darn tough, why dont you give me an invitation to come on your show? What Ive found over the last few days is that theyre not willing to do that. Theyre willing to shoot spitballs from the sidelines like the class clown, but theyre not willing to meet me on the schoolyard. And thats on them.
Ill suggest that Acosta start reminding everyone that its been more than 10 years since "tough-guy" Hannity promised to be waterboarded and would do so to raise money for the troops.

(5,299 posts)Either Hannity won't be
a) Alone, or
b) There.
This is, after all, the guy who claimed that waterboarding isn't torture, and bragged that he would subject himself to waterboarding to "prove" it, then stopped talking about it when someone called his bluff.

Prolly do the same thing for a childish fist fight... or a one on one on his show.. He's not mentally or verbally equipped to deal with Acosta...

(15,384 posts)I can't remember from whom (his books are in storage), but he called some conservative guy who either mouthed off like this about Al or made some sort of general challenge to liberals and offered to meet him in a parking garage to throw down. The guy said, "I'm not going to fight you, Al." His son was actually impressed with Al until he saw the guy on television and then felt Al would come off as the bully for picking on someone so feeble.
