was aiming for and that her use of this word has a historic reference to the holocaust.
I think she could still talk about the unconstitutionality of Trump’s immigration policies, how cruel, traumatic and incompetent is the family separation “program,” through which children are lost, made to suffer, quite possibly abused; substandard detention condition; unnecessary deaths. She can call it a stain on America, which it is in its own right. Punitive, discriminatory, and sadistic.
How Trump has dealt with poor, vulnerable, fleeing migrant families is tragic and unforgivable enough without making any other comparison.
I think what has been done to them will affect generations.
Many of the children will suffer PTSD.
And what of those dislocated from their family forever? I was hoping media would follow stories
of the children sent away, their fate, and of the people forced to return to the violence they tried to
escape.
I do not think Ocasio-Cortez was doing anything more than trying to wake up America to an ongoing horror in its backyard. I feel though that since many Americans are apparently not so
aware, somehow have not been moved, making the case as credibly as possible is important.
Now really, we don’t need to excoriate her. She is learning on the job.
An activist peace group I support emailed to say that they, as American Jews, do not feel she misappropriated.
Maybe the conversation, as some here have suggested, needs to turn not to a debate about how to put the case, but the case itself and what needs doing.

These evil bastards have yet to account for all the children they have ripped from parents. They continue to do these evil acts, IN OUR NAME.

Break up these concentration camps before the hysteria of the traitor's supporters leads to death camps.

AOC can read. It's the correct phrasing, we just like to pretend in America we're better then that.
We we suppose to learn from our mistakes.
