Republicans didn't put her in jail and she wasn't jailed for refusing to answer a congressional subpoena.

So, the two situations aren't comparable and it's not as simple as Potash claims.

This is a good example of why people shouldn't just believe everything they read on the internet even when it has a cool-looking meme.

And, to totally validate your statement, it's as simple as reading this (including references):

Susan McDougal
Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_McDougal

(snip)

Susan Carol McDougal (née Henley; born 1955) is one of the few people who served prison time as a result of the Whitewater controversy of the 15 individuals who were convicted of federal charges.

Her refusal to answer "three questions" for a grand jury, on whether President Bill Clinton lied in his testimony during her Whitewater trial, led her to receive a jail sentence of 18 months for contempt of court. That made up most of the total 22 months she spent incarcerated.

She received a full presidential pardon from Clinton in the final hours of his presidency in 2001.

to make sure it's true.

Facts are so easy to check before spreading falsehoods.

opened up that particular post and sure as hell, dozens of people are calling Democrats weak and are some stupid enough to think the committee chairman can just have her arrested on the spot (some are probably antagonistic right-wing trolls). Only one person called him out on it and he has not yet responded.

Looking through his other posts, he seems to have his heart in the right place but needs to stop participating in sensationalism (the very heart of much of social media). He appears to be very young.

Americans need to get their asses off full-time social media, and start reading credible info sources again. As we all know but sometimes get lazy and forget, there's plenty out there on-line and most are free!

This is a very serious matter, not entertainment......

this is a great eg of what talk radio does. limbaugh leads the pack with 600 stations and they all have to follow it.

what is the difference? how does one get an 18 mo sentence refusing to lie about a fucking blowjob and some other lies coming out of limbaugh's ass and these motherfucking russian agents get off lying about this orange sack of shit while they run us into another illegal war vs iran

Call an impeachment hearing, subpoena witnesses, every damn person testifies on TV.

Those who defy the subpoena get prosecuted, and because it’s an impeachment hearing the courts expedite it.
We also get the grand jury testimony.

Anything less than impeachment will allow Trump to delay everything until after the election.

An impeachment proceeding doesn't guarantee the House will get the grand jury material and and isn't the only way for the House to get the material?

And people get prosecuted for contempt of Congress not because they defy a subpoena in an impeachment inquiry but because they defy a subpoena from the House. An impeachment inquiry is not necessary to prosecute anyone for contempt of Congress. And claiming that the courts will be more likely to expedite matters in an impeachment hearing has no basis in fact, law or precedent.

I've explained this at least a half dozen times. Why do you keep repeating these false claims?

Oh, and the meme in the OP is also bs.

Starr and congressional Republicans took a big approval hit when Susan McDougall was shown being shuffled around in cuffs and an orange jumpsuit.

Personally, if I were chair of that committee, Hicks would not have left that hearing room a free woman. But there may be other concerns here.

She was chained to a toilet, taken to court in leg shackles, and much much more.

Can you imagine precious Hopey treated like that?
