i dont know about the legal fine points, and there seems to be disagreement.
but, imho, it looks a lot more skeevy to send a witness to an impeachment hearing, after maneuvering closed door testimony, and then go in there and just refuse to answer questions.

or it may have been today (who knows with the trump-Russian blur it's all been), that states were still investigating vote counts, interference, voting machines, and what have you from the 2016 GE.

This is the first I've heard that any state was investigating and I want to know more. Like which states are actually investigating and when they finally started. It should have been the day after the ridiculous election outcome. And just now it's being done? It pisses me off every time I hear about something in the Mueller report confirming the interference but that no investigation was done to find out what impact it had on the outcome. Say the fuck what?

So, yeah. Day one!
