Mitch McConnell Says We Don't Need Slavery Reparations Because We Elected Barack Obama

“I’m wondering, where do you stand on that issue, do you believe in reparations for slavery, and if not should there be a public apology from Congress or from the president in recognition of the theft of labor?” she asked McConnell.

“Yeah, I don’t think reparations for something that happened 150 years ago, for whom none of us currently living are responsible, is a good idea,” McConnell said, adding “We’ve tried to deal with our original sin of slavery by fighting a civil war, by passing landmark civil rights legislation, we’ve elected an African American president.”

McConnell opposed Obama’s election, reportedly demanded unyielding opposition to Obama before he even took office, and publicly vowed to make Obama “a one-term president.”

His election and presence in the White House sped up the volatility. It unmasked what was been impolite to voice for decades.

I doubt that Mitch supports civil rights or voting rights...we all know that he never supported President Obama...add the fact that his party is full of people who have the mentality of those slave owners from 150 years ago...

5. McConnell tried his damndest to make Barack Obama "three fifths of a president"

by blocking him in every avenue open to him, including denying him his Constitutional right to appoint Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court. He is Exhibit A in ongoing injustice and is practically making a case for reparations in spite of himself.
