Having seen their predecessors prosecute and convict Paul Manafort of serious crimes, the current DOJ appears to be putting their weight behind defense counsel in local proceedings that do not involve them.

I read the piece yesterday about the AG stepping in about Rikers, but this letter looks even worse. I am not law-literate, so I need someone to explain. Are they trying to mess with the ability of New York to prosecute Manafort?

Lol remember when people were 100% sure that Trump appointed Kavanaugh to overturn the dual sovereignty doctrine so he could pardon everyone and the states couldnt prosecute them.
