(153,169 posts)their entire business model is SELLING YOUR INFORMATION
it kills me how many people have been sucked into the FB Borg
Which is why all Facebook knows about me is where I live and where I went to school 40 years ago. It keeps badgering me for a phone number and other information, but it's pretty easy to just say no. Strangely enough, with this paucity of information, I don't seem to get a whole lot of spam from sources that I might trace back to Facebook.
It's like if you don't tell Facebook every last detail of your life, the information they might sell isn't very valuable.

I can easily picture myself using this service to send money to people in situations where there are few or no alternatives.
