Suggestion: Don't call them tariffs. Call them the

Trump tax increase. Also, start talking about inflation caused by the Trump tax increase. Talk about how Trump is putting unnecessary regulations on the import business, and how it shows that Trump is NOT for the free market economy. Talk about how Trump cut taxes for the rich, but raised taxes on the Middle class. Then talk about how Democrats want to reverse that formula by putting money back into the pockets of the middle class by forgiving student loans, restoring personal exemptions, and raising the standard deduction yet again, and by taking charitable contributions off the front page of form 1040.
