Two years from now, after Trump has been defeated and returned to criminal life, that will be a question commonly asked.
"The Senate was protecting him and it would have been all a wasted effort", some will say.
"It was better that he was defeated at the polls...he wanted to be impeached so he could play the martyr", others will say.
Trump will continue to whine and cry to his diminishing cult, even as he fights NY authorities in his attempt to stay out of prison.
It will be reported that he continues to communicate with Vladimir Putin on a regular basis and they have a deal to build a new Trump Tower in Moscow.

(4,448 posts)For the most part people will stop talking about Trump once he's out of office.
At that point, we won't be trying to get him out, he will be out and ANY talk about him is just wasted breath.
The new President will be in the news and the Republicans will be talking about him and making up conspiracies.
Yea Trump will be whining and crying, but no one will be listening.

Republicans will say "SEE! Told you he was innocent, even Nancy Pelosi thought so!".
