If I want to hear people saying blatantly idiotic things, at least I'd like to know it's satire.

(28,079 posts)I can tolerate the stupid comments when the Daily Show is airing them. But I'm guessing Tweety will treat them like they're making valid points and I don't think I could stand that.

(38,002 posts)Matthews just ask the crowd if they thought the preznit is a racist. Loud applause. How many think he's not? Maybe three people clapped, might have been two.

(5,124 posts)I was listening to him on Morning Joe this morning as I was driving in to work. What pissed me off was him saying -( I am paraphrasing) " Oh Democrats have to be careful not to turn off Trump voters - they don't like being made fun of, they feel like the "elites" think they are stupid for being against abortion and immigration.
After I heard that - I was thinking WTF? So I am supposed to be tolerant of their way of thinking but they are not tolerant of ours? Are you serious? GTFOHWTBS!!!
The majority of them are dumb bigoted fucks that are control freaks. They are obsessed with controlling other people's lives. They don't give a shit about doing good. Why the hell should I be tolerant of that? Some of them get to go around calling us baby killers/baby murderers- Yet somehow Matthews is saying, Democrats need to be careful not to turn them off. Damn right I want to turn these bastards off. I do think we are elite when it comes to them. Elite in thinking about, treatment of others. They can go kick rocks.

(15,805 posts)WTF! Republicans are so brainwashed they just repeated the talking points that they heard from every TV host, on every show, on every day, for weeks and months.
No one factchecks. No one questioned anything. No one used the critical thinking skills they learned in school. Those Republicans in the audience were assimilated by Fox News just like the syfy alein Borg assimilated the Star Trek universe.

(5,810 posts)When an older Republican dude called the previous young woman Cupcake, Tweety wheeled around and took the microphone away from him. The guy was left sputtering and Tweety reminded him and the rest of the audience that it was agreed that they would be respectful of each other. And calling her Cupcake clearly wasnt respectful. Tweety did the right thing for once.

(10,014 posts)Home for the last 15 minutes, just in time to hear Tweety interrupt and admonish an audience member for not blaming Pelosi and House Dems because a comprehensive immigration bill has not been brought to the floor. He said the Senate bill was supported by Teddy Kennedy (?).
Does anyone know what bill he is talking about?
All I could find is:
Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act may refer to either of two bills in the United States Senate that did not become law:
Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006 (S. 2611), a bill passed by the U.S. Senate
Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2007 (S. 1348), a bill introduced in the U.S. Senate but never voted upon
