From Dayton Ohio in a district that formerly voted for Obama, then voted Trump.

(50,948 posts)One guy claimed he was in the voting booth for 20-30 minutes deciding how to vote. That was a lie.
Then other guys brought up Benghazi, MS13 or something, and other crap. They are lunatics.

(4,651 posts)which is close to eternity in political time. Sometimes I wish we had a system like Canada or Mexico which limit the length of the campaign season.
How about starting up in the year that the election is being held for example?

(14,176 posts)Matthews has been inside the beltway for over 40 years, attending soirees with the Washington elite, and yet still wants to paint himself as the vox poluli. And the "average voters" on the show might be average, but a lot of them are deeply uninformed or misinformed. The most telling was when Matthews asked the one gentleman what exactly it was about Benghazi that made Sec Clinton unworthy of a vote and he had no idea how to answer the question and kept prefacing everything with "from what I know about it" or "from what I've heard"

(8,924 posts)They all believe lies and repeat Fox News talking points.
The guy in the Navy hat starts reading from a list he made of "Trump accomplishments", quoting some low unemployment numbers. Tweety doesn't ask him what Trump policies are responsible for it, instead, calls it a "good list". Nothing said about the decline in unemployment under Obama that Trump inherited when he took office. It is so frustrating watching this stupidity.
