Whoa, republicans I know are trashing the GOP (updated)

over the roll call, and the refusing to acknowledge the Paul delegates. They're all saying the GOP has just lost the election, many just decided to vote third party. This is turning into an unMITTigated disaster for the GOP.

I would hate to be an Eisenhower Republican, let alone a Ron Paul supporter. What a way to unite your party.

The republicans I know are all over facebook, and they are FURIOUS. Even if they weren't Paul supporters, they think this insult of the Paul delegates is a bad idea.

Obama or Romney. Romney is betting these people hate Obama more then they hate him, he is counting their votes. Why he can dis them as he did.

He won't pick up any votes from them. But even the Romney supporters recognize they need the Paulbot's votes, and boots on the ground. They are pissed Romney is needlessly pissing them off.

Some of those Paulites WILL vote libertarian, or just sit it out all together. The GOP really underestimates the dislike of Romney within the party. The Paulites and assorted others DO have another party to turn to when the RINOs piss them off. I don't think counting on hatred for Obama is a great idea for the GOP.

Deliberately ignoring them just pisses them off for no good reason. I don't see many Paul supporters voting for Romney now.

RNC wanted to vet his speech AND have him fully endorse Romney. Principled nut, Paul, was forced to declined.

People I know won't vote for Obama, but are reluctant to vote for Romney. Of course, if they mention not voting, I leave them be... they're not voting down-ticket.

The republicans are bombing. My republican friends are all moderates, no teabaggers. In the fb chatter going around, every single one of them is totally appalled at the arrogance, lies, and racism on display at the RNC.
