Poll: Considering the timing of impeachment, are you for or against?

Today a panelist on MSNBC did a break down on the time it would take to impeach going by previous impeachment actions. During the Nixon proceedings it took 10 months in the House then it would take another 6 months or so for a trial in the Senate which would take us past the 2020 election. He therefore concluded that the timing of it should not depend on the election. There are those who say impeachment hearings going on during the election are good for Dems and some who say it would be good for repugs so where do you stand on it?

...but it will serve to keep the words "Trump" and "Impeachment" in the headlines until 2020 (unless it uncovers something so terrible that Senate Repuglicans would have no choice BUT to convict him... ...yeah, who am I kidding? )

oversight hearings without the official steps toward impeachment are going to be considered impeachment no matter what.

Call them oversight and make that Trump's crimes and incompetence are exposed every month until the election.

There is more than enough and I think they will find more. Not to mention Trump adds to the possible articles every week.

Conway's violation of the Hatch Act being just one.

The argument the Senate won't convict is a non-starter.

I worked for 25 years in public education. When a student is who is a bully, a thief, and a liar is caught repeatedly disrupting the educational process, he or she is either expelled or suspended.

To not at least have hearings to hold tRump accountable (in public space) for crimes against the U.S.A. would be a huge mistake.

Close to half of our presidential candidates are calling for impeachment hearings. Go for it! The sooner the better!

And it has become such a point of contention between the party base and party leadership, that Trump has been able to flip the word around and use it as a weapon to further divide the Democrats.

At this point, I think it would be better to just drop the subject altogether, work on re-uniting the party, and focus on the 2020 election.

Impeachment inquiries should be conducted before, during, and after the election. Elections have become far too important because of the BILLIONS spent during the campaigns. Media corporations want that kind of action, so they are also invested in making election campaigns more important than the legal survival of the nation.
