(32,655 posts)In the handy preview window you can see what will be displayed, once it has been finalized.
So the text before and after the jpeg are displayed and you don't want those things. You need to go into the post window and delete the text before the "https..." link and after the ".jpg". When you delete all the before-and-after text, hit the Preview button again, and you'll see that you have the photo displayed without that unwanted text.
Then hit the button that says "Post my reply."

(33,643 posts)img src="" ... all you need to paste into DU reply is the value BETWEEN those two double-quotes.
Basically you just need to paste in https:// somefile .jpg (a real url has no spaces though of course) or .gif and DU does the rest. There may be more forward slashes than that but that's the general format of what DU software assumes is a pic.
