Wisdom comes from the unlikeliest places. And on Saturday, Ben Bowling, the valedictorian of Bell County High School in Pineville, Ky., made an inspirational appeal that left his graduating classmates and their parents dumbstruck.
This is the part of my speech where I share some inspirational quotes I found on Google, he told the packed auditorium. Dont just get involved. Fight for your seat at the table. Better yet, fight for a seat at the head of the table Donald J. Trump.
The crowd burst into applause. President Trump is quite popular in Pineville and the surrounding area, which is the heart of coal country and overwhelmingly supported the president in the 2016 election after he promised to bring coal jobs back to America.
Mr. Bowling, though, wasnt finished.
Just kidding, he said. That was Barack Obama.
The cheering abruptly stopped. The crowd went mostly silent. There was a lone boo.

Ben Bowling had some words of wisdom for his fellow grads, but there was a twist no one saw coming.

(59 posts)Dont get involved. Fighting for your seat at the table is for losers. Better yet, let Putin fight to get you a seat at the head of the table. The big, big table. So big, this table, so uuuge. Nobody has a bigger table. The Mexicans built it and theyre going to pay for it. Donald J. Trump.

(37,648 posts)Trump doesn't speak that way. Not by a long shot.
He would have said..."I always sit at the head of the table. In fact, where I sit, THAT'S the head of the table. People always tell me, wherever you sit, Mr. Trump, that's the head of the table. It can be round or square or triangle. Doesn't matta! Wherever I am, that's it! That's the head of the table!"
Rambling...excessive use of the pronoun "I"...narcissistic fixation on self...ascribing praise by others that has never occurred...includes irrelevant information like the shape of the table...no cohesive thought beyond "It's all about me."

(54,445 posts)Members of my class would go around with excerpt from the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and asked people to sign them if they agreed. Plenty of people told them they would never sign off on any of that "communist propaganda."
And that was in Massachusetts! I heard there similar reactions around the country.
It's often the messenger that counts, not the message. That is the secret of Fox Noise. Too many people will believe lies from loudmouthed guys with glowing ties and big busted blondes before they will believe the truth from a tall gawky lesbian genius.
"Beware" doesn't even begin to describe it.
