This is an historic night!
@realDonaldTrump has announced that he has cut a deal to greatly reduce, or eliminate, Illegal Immigration coming from Mexico and into the United States.
Now that that problem is solved, Im sure we wont be hearing any more about it in the future.

(7,530 posts)You could tell him "steps were being taken" then the next day declare the problem solved, and he'd totally believe you. He felt like he was controlling stuff, but all the middle management were taking care of it on a regular basis. We'd nod sagely when he "informed" us about a problem, and then just show him a graph the next day with an up-pointing arrow or bigger bars than the previous bars and he was all in.

(14,492 posts)Anyone that thinks Mexico will keep a meaningful number of troops on their southern border for any duration is nuts.
Detentions on their northern border will make them vulnerable to human rights violation charges and perhaps even sanctions from other nations. Let's hope international HR organizations are allowed to observe.
