Trump's top campaign issue may lead to his downfall.
Millions of Trump voters blindly support Trump for one reason, Immigration, the border, the Wall. If Trump loses some of them he can not win re-election. He has already lost some of his voters over tariffs.
To say Trump has been failing on this issue is an understatement.
He has failed to build the wall.
Trump kidnapped thousands of children and had no plan to return them. Some children have died. Why the Democrats are not focused like a laser beam on this tragedy is political negligence. They should be attacking Trump about this every day of the week and twice on Sunday. The news media should be sending more reporters to the border and Central America to report what is going on.
There have been reports of big problems at detention centers. They are overwhelmed.
There is a crisis at the border and in Central America. Not only are people in Central America being threatened by crime and gangs, there is a drought. Children are starving. People are heading north to survive.
Trump in a simple minded, child like way addresses this crisis by trying to stop them from coming. He threatens other countries if they don't stop these people from heading north. Trump has threatened to cut off aid to Central America. That is the worst thing you can do.
Trump is pouring gasoline onto a crisis. If it goes up in flames that could ruin him politically. Only time will tell.
It would not surprise me at all if Trump was taken down in an ironic way.
