Stephen Moore, who dropped Federal Reserve bid amid firestorm over comments about women, still eyeing job with Trump
By Felicia Sonmez June 6 at 3:29 PM
Stephen Moore, who last month abandoned his bid for a Federal Reserve seat amid an uproar over his past writings about women, says hes still angling for a job supporting President Trump.
Moore, a Heritage Foundation fellow, said Thursday in an interview with Fox Business Networks Stuart Varney that he may do something at the White House or in the campaign.
Moore added that he spoke with Trump a few weeks ago before Kevin Hassett, the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, announced his departure and that he is not seeking to succeed Hassett in the role, which requires Senate confirmation.
Well no, no one has, Moore said when asked whether anyone from the White House had contacted him about potentially taking Hassetts place. I did speak to the president a couple weeks ago, long before we knew that Kevin Hassett was leaving. And you know, I may do something at the White House or in the campaign, but look, I already went through the Senate confirmation hassle. I dont think Im going to do that again.

want to work for Trump? He ruins the reputation of anybody who has anything to do with him. (If you happen to see Mr. Moore, check discreetly whether his pants are zipped.)
