Not good. Tariffs are nothing more than more taxes most Americans are not willing to pay.

It doesn't really even make sense to talk about a car being built in a specific country, because that's just not how the supply chain works. Unfortunately every single part that gets made in Mexico will have a tariff slapped on it, which means the assembly plant in Tennessee or wherever suddenly sees its input costs skyrocket.

Their operational costs will also be increasing at the same time as their material costs. For example, tariffs on the steel frames and forks for their forklifts, which have a supply chain to Mexico for their American forklift suppliers, will cause their material handling costs to increase when they have to pay more for the steel content in their forklifts. Auto manufacturers lease huge forklift fleets. If they decide not to update their fleets because of the in reased costs, forklift demand will drop, and forklift assembly workers in the American assembly plants will be laid off. It's just one of many examples how all U.S. manufacturing industry and its workforce would be hurt by such a stupid act by the out of control American dictator.

for trump in big numbers? Thought they were the new UMC, bc they had higher paying industrial jobs? How's that working out?
If you work in a factory, and vote red, you are voting against your own job. imho.

they don't call it a tax, doesn't mean it isn't one.
Boycott spending Across The Board. ACROSS THE BOARD.
Easy for big bucks 3rd gen Chrysler Auto Worker to say, "People have endured worse than a few bucks on avacados." Hopefully when the axe comes down Mr V, you are the first, YOU should be ok sacrificing too. Voted for trump. This guy is emblematic of a segment of the rot, that is the alt right auto worker of today. imho. A growing group who despises union dues and votes repub, but willingly takes ALL the bennies the Union brings him. These folks thought they were the upper middle class of the manufacturing world, bc they had steady auto jobs, and voted for trump bc they thought they'd 'arrived' financially. AMERICA bailed Chrysler out as i recall. fuck the rest of us eh man? You got yours. CARS ARE TOO EXPENSIVE NOW Vitale.
Glad to hear you support trump
