Difficult reading even for the literate... and that rules him out.

Like your personalized header for that disaster relief one, JHB. These days whenever someone tries to hide Republican perfidy in the word "congress," we know the agenda is screw the Democrats.

And of course no coincidence that most political cartoonists, as for most artists, are more liberal minded. Because they are the keenest observers of the world around them. And anyone that looks that honestly and intently at the state of the nation naturally ends up with a more liberal outlook. Which is why, many times, the editorial cartoonist will have the complete opposite take than the more conservative editor's piece.

(37,161 posts)I rarely post any here, and those only when the subject is something we can agree with, but some are pretty vile.

(14,175 posts)But I think on average, most are more liberal. But yes there are some awful ones. Usually they are also less talented drawers with no sense of humour.
I found this site, maybe you use it. It posts a sample of the best of the weekly cartoons.
https://theweek.com/cartoons?sort=publish_date&page=7
I went through it, and found about, just off the top of my head, about 60% anti Trump or anti-GOP policies, maybe 10% of pro-Trump/GOP, 10% anti-Democratic from a more left view (critical of not impeaching now). And 20% on other topics.
An example of a "funny" right wing cartoon from that sight (posted for purely academic reasons):
As with a lot of right wing pieces, it makes no sense.
A. The Dem donkey looks like they have the whole report already, which they don't.
B. The concept that the person who actually wrote the report, making a statement about it's conclusions from his point of view is NOT some unfair or unusual occurrence. Especially if its to defend its results after it was misrepresented.
C. Its not that Mueller is working to help Democrats, as this cartoon implies, he's working to establish facts around the already established Russian interference in the elections. If his statement helps bolster Democrats calls fo impeachment then that is just how the cards fall. Why is this development which would naturally cause more Democrats to join the call for impeachment FUNNY or even cause for ridicule?
Makes no sense, and lacks any sense of comedic flair.

(37,161 posts)I get most of them from other places, but a few I've only seen on sites I can't like the image from
Yeah, Varvel is one of the ones I take a pass on except for holidays and memorials. However, the toon you posted makes perfect sense *** IF *** you already accept its assumptions and spin, and are impervious to the details that unravel the whole premise. It's Bubble-Snax.
Haggis for Breakfast
(6,831 posts)are rarely ever funny. I've often wondered what universe they're living in sometimes. Stiglich in particular. His "I-hate-Hillary" cartoons are disgusting.
Thank you, JHB for another day of grins.
