1. they've been planning for the demographic changes for decades.

their plan doesn't include winning over a majority of americans.

their plan includes staying in power despite what the majority thinks of them.


so the observation about young americans hating republicans may well be correct, but whether or not that amounts to an "apocalypse" for republicans remains to be seen.

after all, they may just raise the voting age to 65 year old white male.

2. When You Know You Won't Win a Majority of Votes There's Only 1 Thing to Do

and that's to control who gets to cast votes. Gerrymanders are not a long term solution now that the practice is being challenged in courts and Dems are winning those battles.
