Somebody's going to be sending out for fast food fix tonight: Royal State Banquet Menu

Sounds delicious to me, but Trump? I rather doubt it.

The menu for the banquet includes steamed fillet of halibut with watercress mousse, asparagus spears and chervil sauce, as well as new season Windsor lamb with herb stuffing, spring vegetables and port sauce. For dessert, they’ll be served strawberry sable with lemon verbena cream, fresh fruits, petit fours and coffee.

like, when the Queen stops eating, everyone has to stop eating. Not doing so, especially at a state dinner, would be a huge faux pas.

My first wife, from whom I parted peacefully, at our first time out together, said, "I'm ordering something with lots of garlic. If we're going to be fooling around later, you might want to do the same."

I knew right then we'd work out as a couple, and so we did for 17 years.

There is nothing happenstance about this menu. It is tailor made to irritate Dump. I can't imagine him eating two spoonfuls of anything that is listed here. He doesn't eat veggies, other than potato's, lamb is a mystery to him, he doesn't do alcohol. Fresh fruit? Not from the looks of him. Whoever did the menu is a genius

I saw this recipe for her absolute favorite:

Queen Elizabeth’s Favorite Cake: Chocolate Biscuit Cake

“This chocolate biscuit cake is Her Royal Majesty the Queen’s favorite afternoon tea cake by far,” chef Darren McGrady, The Royal Chef and former personal chef to Queen Elizabeth II, told TODAY Food. “This cake is probably the only one that is sent into the royal dining room again and again until it has all gone.”

“It is her favorite cake that she eats until it is all gone,” says McCrady. “If there is anything left when she has it at Buckingham Palace, it then goes to Windsor Castle so she can finish it there. I use to travel on the train from London to Windsor Castle with the biscuit cake in a tin on my knee. It was half eaten.”

It actually looks pretty simple (if you can find the 'tea biscuits' : https://theroyalchef.com/queen-elizabeths-favorite-cake-chocolate-biscuit-cake/

I won't do the lamb. What will they do when he refuses everything but the petit fours and then demands seconds, even thirds? "Well, Donny Doodoo, we thought of that. We are bringing in a wheelbarrow full of cake and ice cream for you."

jackwagons! The one that's cool is not quite as picky as the other guys. I can't say I ever met a woman that was like that.

One of the guys was at least cool about warning us if we were going through a drive-thru. He'd say mine's gonna make us wait if we go there. So at least we had our chance to decide to just go in or go to a pizza place or something like that if we weren't in a hurry.
