Haggis for Breakfast
(6,831 posts)19. I doubt if he or even one of his little mental midget minions
thought for even a second about the message they were sending to the crew of the USS John McCain.
When you're aboard a NAVY ship, there is a sense of pride in your crew, your CO and your boat. [Believe me, many a bar fight has raged in ports of call over who's ship is better.] It's a shared bond, a sense of ship-board camaraderie. The sailors on the McCain deserve an apology from the highest level.
This was so wrong.
malaise
(269,063 posts)20. It is beyond wrong
The ship is named after three generations of McCains - absolute madness - and I was never a McCain fan
