President Trumps son-in-law and Mideast peace maven Jared Kushner does not believe that Palestinians are capable of governing themselves, he admitted in an interview.
The hope is that they, over time, will become capable of governing, Kushner said in a rare media appearance with Axios on HBO that aired Sunday, according to Bloomberg.
Kushner for the past two years has been crafting the White Houses secretive and much-anticipated Mideast peace plan with a goal of ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflicts.
President Trump on Sunday night said he was optimistic that a deal could be struck, telling reporters outside the White House, I think we have a good chance, but well see what happens ...

The second season of Axios .. kicked off with an interview with .. Jared Kushner ... Kushner fell flat on his face so quickly he appeared to be suffering from some sort of localized anomaly in Earths gravitational field ... He doesnt know anything and he believes even less ...
Kushner first ran into trouble when Swan pushed him on Donald Trumps extremely late-in-life conversion to the anti-abortion movement ... Kushner explained, theres nothing unseemly about enforcing policies that hurt other people, even if you dont support those policies yourself ...
Kushners next gaffe comes from a tactic more interviewers should employ when dealing with the Trump administration: Asking an open-ended question that allows the interviewee to ramble on until they reveal how far out of their depth they are. In this case, Swan asks if Palestinians are capable of governing themselves ...
... Kushner is not willing to talk about the specifics of his long-promised plan for the middle east, but if the goal is to make the area investable while we all wait around until Jared Kushner decides that the Palestinians can be treated like adults, that doesnt sound like great news for the Palestinians. Its also a pleasure to watch Kushner scurry off into vague poll-tested phrases whenever hes asked about something concrete ...

I am assuming the writer is referring to the second meaning.
Yeah, the Palestinians are real happy Trump went nepotism in appointing a peace emissary. Then the nepotism poster child says this. That'll bring home a solution. /sarc
