Shouldn't DC field trips include a drunken strip club arrest for the Principal?

Principal resigns after being arrested at strip club while on school field trip

WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) - A Louisiana Catholic school principal was arrested at a Washington, D.C. strip club after refusing to pay his bill.

Diocese of Baton Rouge spokesman Dan Borne says Michael Comeau was arrested early Thursday in Washington, D.C., where he was with students from Holy Family Catholic School, a K-8 school in Port Allen.

According to an arrest report, officers were dispatched to Archibald's Gentlemen's Club on a complaint about "an intoxicated man refusing to pay his bill." The Advocate reports the 47-year-old faces charges of public intoxication and possession of an open container of alcohol. It was unknown if he has an attorney.

The Diocese of Baton Rouge confirmed today that Michael Comeau, principal at Holy Family School in Port Allen, was arrested on May 30 while on a school-sponsored trip to Washington, DC. The incident occurred when the students on the trip were in their hotel rooms for the evening under the supervision of other chaperones. Mr. Comeau had been principal of Holy Family School for five years and prior to that time had served in public education in the surrounding area. Mr. Comeau has submitted his resignation as principal and an interim principal will be appointed."

Though I guess all the out of town Christian church principals who go there is a large part of why.

Pro-tip: if you're going to lose your job, go to Camelot, Good Guys, or the House. Or even the Crystal City Restaurant. Don't ruin your career and have a shitty night at Archibald's.

this "good Catholic" dude won't be principal anywhere from now on. Maybe he can find a job sweeping the church floors.

Who wouldn't need a few drinks and some adult company after traveling half-way across the country with some school kids?

when they're out of town? I wonder if he went there alone, or was there a group of men having a holiday party at the titty bar?

Years ago, three men I knew and I went to Vegas for a trade show. The first night, the three went to a strip club, where they spent all the money they had brought for the trip on drinks and lap dances. I was asked to go, too, but I declined. I've seen naked women before, really. I'm sure they had, as well, since, like me, they were married.

"Was it worth it?" I asked them, when they borrowed money from me for breakfast. They all just looked sheepish.

That he refused to pay? I’m guessing it was large.

As an aside we’ve been in Europe this week. It is very cool seeing GDPR in action and having every web site explicitly ask if storing cookies is ok. I wish we would pass the equivalent.

Mentioning because that web site wric says welcome European visitor but they aren’t GDPR compliant so I couldn’t go there.
