Anyone hear or see anything from former Iowa governor, Brandstad...now China Ambassador...

regarding the tariff on farm goods?

I would think the Iowa farmers would be on his back, if nothing else. I would be surprised if he jumped Trump to point out how tragic his moves would be for the family farmer, but then he wouldn't want to lose his job, either.

wouldn't you think he'd try to protect it? I suppose that's too much to hope for.

I've been trying to remember the guy from Iowa (decades ago) who worked so hard to build that market for corn. His name is on the tip of my tongue, but I can't bite it off. Ring a bell?

The Chinese even had a house in Muscatine where the Chinese were welcome to stay when in the country, if I remember correctly.
