It will probably happen. Most Trump voters know Trump is committing crime after crime. They know he is lying. They know he is attacking the rule of law and the constitution. They don't give a fuck. This is a cult movement that has found their savior. They will follow him to the tragic end.
We will have to wait and see if Mueller speaking in public changed any Trump voters minds. I have doubts.
If a certain amount of Trump voters don't come to their senses I believe this freak show will end in tragedy. All of us will get hurt.
Impeachment will tear this country apart unless many Trump voters join us here in the real world. Not impeaching Trump will damage the constitution and the rule of law, our democracy. All future presidents will be above the law.
As we debate this freak show Trumps policies are failing. We are on the verge of a trade war with China. Other countries are getting tired of Trumps attacks and threats. They are tired of being blackmailed. There is talk of an economic slowdown.
It is possible the 2020 election could be thrown into chaos by outside attacks. Trump voters don't care if other countries attack our elections. Trump can do what he did last election when it comes to getting help from our enemies. Mueller made it legal for now.
The forty percent have been and are on a suicide mission. They want to change America and have decided one man is their savior, he is the one that can give them the America they want.
If enough Trump voters don't start caring about what is happening, don't stop blindly following Trump, we are all going to pay a heavy price. Trump voters are responsible for this entire mess, only they can fix it. That's my opinion.

(16,786 posts)at all. That 40% is not enough to win. So much will be happening between now and then as investigations continue into Trump world.
I do have faith that people will come around. We can only speak the truth that more will peel away and realize their vote did have consequences. Trump is desperate to hold onto power. He is afraid that if he does get beat in 2020, he will have to pay the band for all the FREE dances he had at our expense(Country).

(12,344 posts)That is income inequality. If we don't figure out how to rebuild the middle class and lift up the working class, they will be looking for their next savior.

(9,481 posts)I think that at least 3/4 of the Red Hats have always been the deplorable, and most of the rest are just Republicans that are long for the ride and will be okay with anything so long as they get their tax cuts and none of the social policies affect them.
I believe for us Democrats it's about turning out our likely voters that don't always vote instead of appealing to Trump voters.

(7,142 posts)they are not going to grow but they will show up and vote, If we vote, and the election is fair we win. Millennials did not vote for president in 2016, Trump won because of Russia but he won because our turnout was low.

(9,696 posts)it's 40 percent of the people that voted. If you count all the people who voted against trumpft and the republicans and add all the people who are unmotivated voters, you have them being a definate minority.
We need to find and motivate new voters and outnumber them. That's why the republicans are working so hard to make voting so difficult. They know they are outnumbered.
