E.J. Dionne was the voice of reason at the end, imo.

(8,231 posts)the end of it. That comment that was made about Nancy offering prayers went completely over her head. I'm sorry I forgot her name and I do like her but not this comment.
I mean she was taking that comment literally??? Does she not understand that was a BODY SHOT...not a real fucking real call to prayer.

(5,811 posts)a niche. It was terrible. But I think it's designed to appeal to those viewers who respond to outrage journalism. I get what Speaker Pelosi is doing. Remember she's second in line to the presidency. She has a lot more information about what's going on than we do and I absolutely trust her.

(18,486 posts)She keeps making assumptions and statements that just aren't true, either legally or factually. And whenever anyone tries to correct her, she just argues with them.
It's very unlike her.

(10,832 posts)He had a really funny line about 'rushing' things. The three things that should never be rushed?
Sex, barbecued ribs and impeachment.
But something Wilson said and reiterated by others was the strategy that Nancy Pelosi appears to be using at the moment: death by a thousand tiny cuts. For the time being, the courts are turning in Democrats' direction. Each decision Trump loses exposes him, wounds him, makes him bleed credibility. For the cultists, no amount of evidence will ever be enough. But for those who still have cognitive function, the piling on effect will and is having an effect.
The worrisome thing is the latest offense: giving Barr access to our IC communities' files to punish Trump's perceived enemies.
Each and every day, Donald Trump and his enablers cross the line. We really are in uncharted territory.

(6,143 posts)You're right he was the voice of reason today.
Jason Johnson was the opposite, trashing Pelosi with lies. If he is so outraged he needs to put his name on a ballot instead of sniping from the sidelines.

(35,454 posts)Have been turning the show off since she started stomping her foot for impeachment. She and her guests have been totally obnoxious lately. And I certainly do not appreciate them kicking Nancy around. Who are they to think they know better/best? It's crazy when a Conservative writer (j. rubin) is a voice for Dem reason. And I do wish Joy would stop talking so fast, there's no need.

(40,212 posts)I am somewhat surprised at her on air persona lately. I actually find her kind of obnoxious. I think she has been throwing critical thinking out the window, which frankly surprises me. I guess graduating from Harvard doesn't guarantee that someone thinks things through.

(35,454 posts)She used to be such a critical, incisive thinker, she ran circles around the other anchors. Sigh.

(18,486 posts)She was always so well-prepared, thoughtful and sharp - she and Rachel were in a category unto themselves. And while she had a point of view, she was always respectful of others and didn't force her opinion on her guests.
But you're right. Lately she's been very different and her impeachment or else approach is making her unwatchable for me - a big deal since I used to work my weekend mornings around her

(35,454 posts)There was a hole in my Sat./Sun morning after I saw each beginning and had to turn. And I don't understand what has happened either.
